COSA Indicators - ITC

Please note that the data displayed pertains only to the region stipulated below.

Welcome to the COSA Sustainability Standards Data platform.

The platform helps understand the impacts of sustainability initiatives. You can investigate performance on a set of COSA indicators, for initiatives you choose according to crop, country or type of intervention.

The data reported here come from a variety of COSA projects carried out between 2009 and 2014 that specifically assess sustainability standards in developing countries. It reflects information gathered from ca. 20,000 surveys of farmers applying such standards or certifications. COSA and its partners collect information on more than a hundred indicators covering the social, environmental, and economic elements of sustainability.

The data is intended to catalyze a better understanding of sustainability and demonstrate the diverse benefits of consistently comparable data across countries. It is illustrative rather than comprehensive and aims to support more data-driven decision-making. The contents of this site are evolving; additional data is added as it becomes available.
